Sapiens are self-consuming
Blundering fools obsessed with their reflections
Living in a vacuum
Addicted to a fallacy
Filthy scavenging thieving brutes
Unfit for mercy and stained with entitlement
Lazy unwilling to change their behaviour
Through their deduction they misplace their confidence
Disregarding logic in favour of greed
All of their actions converge to lay
The foundation of lies that will collapse
on them one day
Sapiens are self-consuming
Blundering fools obsessed with their reflections
Living in a vacuum
Addicted to a fallacy
Living in a vacuum
Addicted to a fallacy
From a self-inflicted fate
Consumed with inadequacy
A self-consuming plague
Once an adaptable unyielding force
Now an intelligence divorced from purpose
Existing on a decimated plane of existence
Stripped of morality and filled with explanations
Disregarding logic in favour of greed
All of their actions converge to lay
The foundation of lies that will collapse on them one day
Sapiens are self-consuming
Blundering fools obsessed with their reflections
Living in a vacuum
Addicted to a fallacy

Pity that I could not find the deluxe edition with LoG's Laid to Rest. Nevertheless I wanted to add Elegy to my BC collection. It's unique as it is a delightful mix of symphony and deathcore. The vocals are just the perfect "5th element" that allows both styles to intertwine perfectly. Ben Duerr is the perfect vocalist for this role. The Elegy trilogy at the end is just the apotheose of death-gasm, it's a good trip down to memory lane as I've seen S.O.I. live last year! sachavonkarl74
