Can you see the eyes of the innocent?
Behind closed doors with fear ever present
No escape from the devastation
Corrupting Civilization
Below the surface
Are Remnants of Resentment
Remnants of the past gathering momentum
How much longer can they stay submersed
The time will come when the banks will burst
Fire rises to meet you
From the confines of decades of pain
Built into hate as the ego conspires
To exact revenge at the opportune time
The Fire rises to meet you
From the confines of decades of rage
No hope
Go home
Just before they hurt me
Just before they kill me
Can you see the eyes of the innocent?
Behind closed doors with fear never ending
No escape the devastation
Corrupting Civilization
Below the surface
Are Remnants of Resentment
Remnants of the past gathering momentum
How much longer can they stay submersed
The time will come when the banks will burst
Fire rises to meet you
From the confines of decades of pain
Pity that I could not find the deluxe edition with LoG's Laid to Rest. Nevertheless I wanted to add Elegy to my BC collection. It's unique as it is a delightful mix of symphony and deathcore. The vocals are just the perfect "5th element" that allows both styles to intertwine perfectly. Ben Duerr is the perfect vocalist for this role. The Elegy trilogy at the end is just the apotheose of death-gasm, it's a good trip down to memory lane as I've seen S.O.I. live last year! sachavonkarl74
